Terms of Service
Last updated: October 20, 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you — either an individual or the business entity you represent ("you" or "Customer") — and JKB Innovations ("Clevis", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Clevis web and mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, accepting an invitation to a company workspace, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Clevis is field service management software: scheduling and dispatch, customer records, jobs, time tracking, shift management, payroll preparation, invoicing-related tooling, and integrations with third-party systems you choose to connect. We may improve or modify the Service over time; we will not materially reduce its core functionality during a paid term without notice.
2. Accounts and Workspaces
Accounts are invite-based. Each account belongs to a company workspace controlled by the Customer that created it. Workspace owners and administrators control who may access their workspace and what role each member holds. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
3. Subscriptions and Fees
Paid features are offered on subscription plans described at clevis.pro or agreed in an order. Fees are billed in advance for each billing period, are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, and may change upon renewal with prior notice. If payment fails and is not cured after notice, we may suspend the Service. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card or bank numbers.
4. Your Data
You retain all rights to the data you and your team submit to the Service — customer records, jobs, schedules, time entries, documents, and similar business records ("Customer Data"). You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, display, and transmit Customer Data to operate the Service, including sending it to systems you connect at your direction. We do not sell Customer Data and do not use it to train general-purpose AI models. On termination you may request an export of your Customer Data within 30 days.
5. Location and Time-Clock Data
Where a workspace uses time tracking, Clevis records a GPS location at the moment a team member clocks in or out, with that team member's device-level permission. This data is collected for the employer that controls the workspace. Employers are responsible for complying with laws that apply to their collection and use of employee location and time data and for providing any notices their jurisdiction requires.
6. Connected Systems
If you connect a third-party system (for example an accounting or payroll provider), you authorize Clevis to exchange data with that system on your behalf. Your use of a connected system is governed by its own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services. Credentials you provide for connected systems are stored encrypted.
7. Remote Support
Clevis offers an optional screen-sharing support session that a user starts explicitly and can end at any time. Sessions require a single-use code, are not recorded by Clevis, and are logged in the workspace's audit trail.
8. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Service in violation of law or to process data you have no right to process;
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
- Do not resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as a service bureau without our written consent;
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, or probe or test its vulnerability without authorization;
- Do not upload malicious code or content that is unlawful or infringes third-party rights.
9. Availability and Support
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided without a guaranteed uptime level unless agreed in writing. Support is available from within the app and at the contact below.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Clevis is a tool that assists your business operations; you are responsible for reviewing payroll, invoicing, and accounting outputs before relying on them.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS OR REVENUES, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.
12. Termination
You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate the Service for material breach not cured after notice, or where required to protect the Service or comply with law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
